Spread across 5.2 acres, Bloomfield Park packs quite a punch for its size. The well-maintained baseball field hosts lively intramural games throughout the week, while the basketball courts offer a place for pickup games and practice shots. If you have little ones in tow, the newer playground is a hit with the younger crowd.

The dek hockey rink stands out as a local favorite, coming alive during evenings in the warmer months with competitive matches. When the hockey players aren't claiming the space, you'll discover it transformed for bike and electric unicycle polo - definitely not something you see in every neighborhood park!

Community Spaces

The park's skateboarding area has grown over time, giving local skaters more room to perfect their tricks and techniques. Green spaces dot the grounds too, excellent for throwing a frisbee, having a picnic, or just lounging with a good book.

Right next to the playground, you'll find bocce courts that nod to the neighborhood's rich Italian heritage. As evening approaches, these courts often fill with players of all ages, creating a warm community atmosphere that's quintessentially Bloomfield.

Getting There

Conveniently located near the Bloomfield Bridge, the park connects to other parts of Pittsburgh. If you're driving, there's a parking lot behind the baseball field, but it can fill up quickly on busy days.

Dog owners particularly appreciate the open spaces here - you'll likely spot plenty of four-legged friends getting their daily exercise alongside their humans.

The park welcomes visitors daily from 6AM to 10PM.
