About Jesse Turner Park in Memphis
Jesse Turner Park is a public recreational area located in Memphis, Tennessee, at the corner of South Parkway and Bellevue in South Memphis. The park spans 18.29 acres and is named after Jesse H. Turner Sr., a prominent civil rights champion and former president of Tri-State Bank in Memphis. Turner was also the first black CPA of Tennessee and the first black chairman of the Shelby County Board of Commissioners.
