Recreation Facilities

The Willow Bend Pool is one of the park's main features. Open all year round, it's an excellent spot to take a refreshing dip or splash around, no matter the season.

If you have a dog, you'll appreciate the dedicated dog park where your pet can run free and socialize with other dogs. What makes it especially thoughtful is the three separate sections for small, medium, and large dogs, so your tiny Chihuahua won't have to dodge the neighborhood Great Dane during playtime.

Your pup will appreciate the water fountains with built-in bowls, and there are fun obstacles to keep them entertained. Just a heads up: park staff rotate closing one section daily for maintenance, but both sections typically welcome weekend warriors (Friday through Sunday).

Playground Area

Kids with adventure in their hearts will love the tall playscape that offers a genuine climbing challenge. The playground sits under a generous canopy of trees, so you won't have to worry about sunburns while the little ones play.

A word of caution though - the equipment here might be a bit much for the tiniest tots. The structures reach impressive heights and might be better suited for older kids or those little daredevils who never seem to run out of energy.

Natural Features

Tucked throughout the park are beautifully landscaped gardens that offer peaceful spots to sit and clear your mind. Majestic oak trees dot the landscape, providing welcome shade and, depending on the season, a carpet of acorns underfoot.

If you enjoy stretching your legs, the walking trails meander pleasantly through the grounds. For the more ambitious walkers, these paths connect to the larger Wells Branch walking trail system, opening up possibilities for extended adventures.

Amenities

Spread throughout Willow Bend are open green spaces and multipurpose lawns great for frisbee games or impromptu picnics. You'll discover several benches scattered about and at least one picnic table when you're ready to rest or enjoy a packed lunch.

The park maintains clean restrooms on-site - a small detail that makes a big difference, especially when you're out with family. Overall, the grounds are well-kept and regularly maintained, which definitely enhances the experience.

Located near where Bratton Lane meets Sauls Drive, Willow Bend Park is easily accessible for locals. There's also an elementary school just across the street, making it a convenient after-school destination for families.
