At the heart of Hogan Park sits an all-weather synthetic turf field that allows for year-round play. Rain or shine, you'll come across people playing baseball, softball, football, soccer, lacrosse, and rugby year-round. No more canceled games because of Pacific Northwest drizzle!

For years, this park has been the go-to spot for baseball and softball players across the region. With at least five baseball/softball fields featuring covered dugouts, it's perfect whether you're just tossing the ball around or participating in a weekend tournament. The playing surfaces are well-maintained by the grounds crew.

The main field boasts a large backstop and a pretty cool Bluetooth-connected scoreboard that's available to any team during games. When the sun sets, the field lighting kicks in for night games - though fair warning: tracking those fly balls once they soar above the lights can be a bit tricky.

Family Fun

Hogan Park isn't just for the sports enthusiasts - it's designed with everyone in mind. The large picnic shelter makes for a wonderful gathering spot, complete with picnic tables and barbecue grills for those summer cookouts.

Got kids? They'll love burning off energy at the playground area (rumor has it there might even be more than one playground across the park). And if you're in the mood for a casual walk, the paved walking paths winding through the grounds are just right for a leisurely stroll.

Getting There

You'll discover Hogan Park in a convenient location with plenty of parking that's easy to access - though it can fill up fast during tournament weekends, so you might want to arrive early. The park is open daily from 7AM to 9PM.

Nature Escape

Need a bigger dose of the outdoors? The park connects to the Green River Trail, perfect if you're looking to extend your adventure beyond park boundaries. Some regulars enjoy a 5.6-mile hiking route that starts right from the park. It provides convenient access to the greater Kent wilderness area.

Bring Your Furry Friends

Your four-legged companions are welcome at Hogan Park, provided they stay on leash. Many visitors enjoy walking their dogs along the trails or letting them play in the open areas. While officially there's no off-leash romping allowed, the spacious layout gives plenty of room for your pup to explore while staying connected to you.

Practical Stuff

You'll discover restrooms around the park - both near the main area and by the playing fields. Drinking water stations are available to keep you hydrated during your activities.

Beyond the organized sports areas, the park offers plenty of open grassy spaces for tossing a frisbee, spreading out a picnic blanket, or simply lounging in the sun with a good book when the weather is nice.
