Cottonwood Grove Park

Cottonwood Grove Park sits on the banks of the Green River just off Frager Road in the southern part of Kent, a cozy 0.77-acre (0.31-hectare) green space that lives up to its name. A charming stand of cottonwood trees creates dappled shade on sunny days and provides a home for local wildlife.

The park's riverside location makes it a wonderful spot for a bit of bird watching or simply sitting back and enjoying the peaceful sound of flowing water.

A Touch of History

The park has a somber historical note from March 1986, when it became linked to the Green River Killer case after remains of one of Gary Ridgway's victims were discovered in the area. While this event briefly brought attention to the park, today it exists as a quiet neighborhood retreat.
