Tucked away at the corner of Pines Road and 32nd Avenue in Spokane Valley, Brown's Park spans a modest 8.2 acres but packs quite a punch in terms of amenities. Since 2015, this small park has been gradually developed into a versatile space with activities for many different interests.

The standout feature here is the sand volleyball complex. With 16 professional-quality sand volleyball courts filled with premium white sand, it's quite impressive for a neighborhood park. These courts have made Brown's Park popular for volleyball enthusiasts, with pro-quality nets maintained through a partnership between the Evergreen Region Volleyball Association (ERVA) and Spokane Valley Parks and Recreation.

Family-Friendly Amenities

If you've got kids in tow, you'll discover plenty to keep them entertained. The playground area, freshly installed in summer 2021, offers a delightful space where little ones can burn off energy. With swings, multiple slides, and climbing features, it's perfectly suited for children between 2 and 10 years old.

On hot days, the splash pad becomes the park's most popular spot. Operating from May 15 to October 15, it's an ideal place for kids to cool off while parents watch from nearby shaded areas. It's particularly convenient that the playground sits partially in the shade and right next to the splash pad - making it easy to bounce between both attractions without much effort.

Sports and Activities

Basketball enthusiasts can shoot some hoops on the full-sized basketball court, while skateboarders might appreciate the modest "skate dot" - a small area with basic features fantastic for casual riders or beginners looking to practice their skills.

Need to get your steps in? The perimeter walking path circles the entire park, offering a pleasant route for a stroll or light jog. You'll often see locals walking their four-legged friends here too - the park welcomes dogs, however they need to stay on leash at all times.

There's a large red shelter and a smaller green one, both available for reservation if you're organizing an event. Around the park, you can find plenty of seating options - tables both under shelters and scattered around the grounds, with ample shaded spots for those scorching summer days.

The park maintains clean restroom facilities (though they might be closed during winter months) and offers drinking fountains throughout - small but essential amenities that make longer visits comfortable.
