There's a six-lane, 25-yard pool complete with a diving board, and a pleasant lazy river where you can float and relax. Just remember the pool area is seasonal, typically open from mid-June through early September when the Spokane Valley weather cooperates.

If water isn't your element, the park has plenty of dry land options too. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the baseball/softball diamond or shoot some hoops at the basketball court. For the kiddos, there's a playground with all the classics like swings, plus a pretty cool carousel-style spinner that tends to be a hit. We appreciate that they've included some adaptive equipment like an accessible swing - making fun available to everyone regardless of ability.

Park Perks

Picnicking here is a breeze with a substantial covered pavilion featuring several metal picnic tables and electricity hookups - great for family reunions or birthday celebrations. There are additional tables scattered around the grounds, but they typically hibernate for the winter months.

You'll never struggle for parking with a generous 118 spaces available. The park includes the essentials like restroom facilities (though these may be seasonal) and drinking fountains to keep you hydrated. There's even a horseshoe pit if you're feeling a bit nostalgic for this classic outdoor game.

The Landscape

At 9.24 acres, Terrace View Park strikes a nice balance between open spaces and developed areas. Mature trees dot the landscape, offering plenty of natural shade - a blessing during those hot summer days. The mix of sunny open fields and cooler shaded spots means you can choose your own temperature adventure.

Thanks to its elevated position in Spokane Valley, the park enjoys some of the area's latest sunsets - making evening visits especially nice in summer. The open green spaces are fantastic for impromptu frisbee games or just sprawling out on a blanket.

Getting Around

The park has a family-friendly vibe with a thoughtful balance of activities and relaxation spaces. Dog owners are welcome to bring their four-legged friends, but do keep them leashed and make use of the provided waste bag stations.

Terrace View is a community hub during the year - hosting youth sports practices and games regularly. During summer, many locals come here for swimming, picnicking, and community gatherings.

The park welcomes visitors year-round from 6AM to 9PM daily, giving you plenty of time to enjoy everything it has to offer.
