Park Overview

Positioned in the heart of Anaheim, Schweitzer Park spans 11.5 acres of green space that's been a part of the community since 1973. Named after Dr. Albert Schweitzer - the polymath who was a theologian, musician, philosopher, physician, and Nobel Peace Prize winner - this park carries an impressive namesake.

With its canopy of maple trees, Schweitzer Park provides a natural break from the surrounding urban landscape. These trees don't just look pretty - they provide much-needed shade during those warm California days.

Location and Accessibility

You'll find this neighborhood haven east of Beach Boulevard and south of Lincoln Avenue, making it super easy to reach for locals. Its position in the middle of a residential area makes it a convenient neighborhood space.

There's also a bridge connecting different parts of the neighborhood, so you can easily cut through the park on your way to wherever you're headed.

Recreational Facilities

The park has play areas designed for both toddlers and older kids, which is helpful for families with children of different ages.

Spread throughout are open grassy spaces meant for tossing a frisbee or laying out a picnic blanket. Picnic tables and benches dot the landscape, offering plenty of spots to take a breather or enjoy lunch in the fresh air.

Sports Facilities

Perhaps one of the coolest features is the skate facility designed by Spohn Ranch. At 5,000 square feet, this modern skatepark offers elements that appeal to everyone from beginners just finding their balance to more experienced skaters looking to refine their technique.

The skate area features a quarter pipe and street section that gives local skaters a safe and dedicated space to practice their ollies and kickflips.

For your convenience, the park includes restroom facilities - always a practical necessity for longer visits. There's a parking lot available, but you'll want to bring a hat on sunny days since shaded parking isn't available.
