Hickory Park

Hickory Park is a five-acre neighborhood park located in Newbury Park, a community within Thousand Oaks, California. The park was acquired by the city in 1969 and developed into a passive recreational area in 1974. Situated at the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains, Hickory Park offers visitors spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, including Mount Boney.

The park is designed to serve residents within walking distance, providing a convenient outdoor space for families, children, and small groups. Its location less than 500 feet from the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area makes it an ideal starting point for those interested in exploring the larger natural area.

Hickory Park features open grass areas that are perfect for relaxation and casual activities. The southern part of the park is traversed by Arroyo Conejo, the longest creek in the Conejo Valley, adding a natural water element to the park's environment.
