About Lang Ranch Neighborhood Park in Thousand Oaks
Lang Ranch Neighborhood Park is a 10-acre recreation site located in Thousand Oaks, California. The park was developed and dedicated to the Conejo Recreation and Park District in 1993, with seven of the ten acres initially developed. Situated adjacent to the natural environment of Lang Creek, this large neighborhood park provides direct access to open space trails throughout the Conejo Valley.
In 2014, the park underwent improvements which included the addition of a 0.4-mile permeable asphalt recreational walking path encircling the park, as well as the construction of a restroom facility. The park also saw the conversion of non-essential turf areas to mulch and trees, enhancing its environmental sustainability. More recently, in 2022, the playground was renovated with ranch-themed equipment and a water tower, adding a unique local flavor to the recreational space. These renovations also included ADA improvements to ensure better accessibility for all visitors.
Lang Ranch Neighborhood Park is open daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, offering residents and visitors alike ample opportunity to enjoy its facilities. The park's design emphasizes a balance between recreational amenities and natural landscape preservation, maintaining the area's ecological integrity while providing essential community spaces.
