Ann Morrison Park

History

Ann Morrison Park is a 153-acre urban park located along the Boise River in Boise, Idaho. Established in 1959, the park was created by Harry Morrison in memory of his late wife, Ann Morrison, and gifted to the City of Boise.

The park features expansive grassy areas interspersed with trees, providing ample space for various recreational activities. One of its most distinctive features is a spray fountain, which offers a refreshing spot for visitors during warm weather.

The park's location along the Boise River makes it a popular destination for river activities, serving as a take-out point for people floating the river during summer months.

Ann Morrison Park hosts several notable events throughout the year. It is the site of Boise's annual Fourth of July fireworks display and the Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic, a hot air balloon festival.

The park also includes a dedicated off-leash area for dogs called Together Treasure Valley Dog Island, allowing pets to run and swim freely.
