About the Location
Historic Origins
Platt Gardens was established in 1927 by Union Pacific Railroad and named after Howard V. Platt, who was the general manager of the original Oregon Short Line Railroad at the time.
Designed by Spanish landscape architect Ricardo Espino, the gardens serve as a beautiful foreground to the historic Boise Depot.
Garden Features
The gardens feature a winding walkway that meanders through the grounds, offering visitors a peaceful stroll with views of the surrounding area.
