What makes this park special is how accessible it is - you can easily pop over from downtown for a quick nature break. There's also a lovely garden that adds a touch of color to this hidden sanctuary along one of Ann Arbor's main thoroughfares.

Get Your Recreation On

If you're into outdoor activities, you'll appreciate the 9-hole free disc golf course winding through the park. It's actually pretty impressive for a neighborhood park - challenging enough for experienced players while still being approachable for beginners.

The open grassy areas are great for impromptu games or spreading out a picnic blanket on sunny days. When it's time to take a breather, you'll come across benches and picnic tables scattered throughout, ideal for enjoying a packed lunch or simply soaking in the scenery.

The sandbox is well-suited for creative play, and there are swings for both toddlers and older children to enjoy. Just remember to pack some sunscreen - this area gets plenty of sunshine with minimal shade coverage.

The pathways meandering through Waterworks Park make for a pleasant stroll, especially nice when you want to stretch your legs without committing to a serious hike. Though modest in size, the park offers a variety of activities in a tranquil setting.

You'll find street parking available nearby, but note that there aren't any public restrooms on site. The park welcomes visitors daily from 7AM to 10PM.
