Circling the fountain are comfortable benches where you can perch and take a moment for yourself. It's one of the more photogenic water features in downtown Pittsburgh.

During workdays, you'll spot local office workers spreading out with their lunch containers, having informal meetings, or simply soaking up some vitamin D. The summer months feature occasional live music and after-work gatherings that add energy to this otherwise quiet spot.

When to Visit

You can access Mellon Green Monday through Saturday from 6AM to 10PM, with extended hours until 11PM on Mondays and 12:30AM on Sundays. There's no admission fee, making this green retreat accessible to anyone needing a moment of calm or a pleasant outdoor space in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh.
