East Park

East Park is a public green space located in the heart of East Nashville, Tennessee. Created in the aftermath of the East Nashville fire of 1916, the park occupies a 10-acre city block adjacent to downtown Nashville. It serves as a vital community gathering place and recreational area for local residents and visitors alike.

The park features a modern community center that was completed in 2006. This 33,000 square foot facility, situated at the corner of Woodland Street and 6th Street South, offers a range of amenities for visitors of all ages. The community center was designed to blend contemporary concepts with the historic character of the surrounding Edgefield Historic District.

East Park provides a mix of indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities. The outdoor areas include a playground for children, baseball fields, and an outdoor amphitheater, making it an ideal spot for family picnics and community events. The park's green spaces offer a refreshing contrast to the urban environment of East Nashville.

As part of Nashville's Master Plan for Parks and Greenways, East Park plays a significant role in the city's efforts to provide accessible green spaces for its residents.
