Rusk Park

Sports and Recreation

Though it's not massive at 4.7 acres, Rusk Park along McDonald Street in Midland offers several amenities within its modest footprint.

The park features athletic options, including baseball and softball fields that work well for practice sessions. Got a swing you're trying to perfect? There's plenty of room here to work on those hitting skills without worrying about breaking a neighbor's window.

If baseball isn't your thing, shoot some hoops at the basketball court or take a refreshing stroll along the walking paths that wind through the grounds. A quick walk can be refreshing after a long day.

Family-Friendly Amenities

Kids need to burn off energy? The playground area offers space for children to climb, slide, and play.

When hunger strikes, you don't have to head home. The park's picnic tables and barbecue pits make it easy to extend your stay with an outdoor meal. These amenities make Rusk Park suitable for casual family lunches, small birthday celebrations, or simply enjoying a sandwich in the shade.

Location Note

Keep in mind that Rusk Park connects to Rusk Elementary School, which might affect when you can access certain areas. You might want to plan your visit outside regular school hours on weekdays to ensure full access to all the park has to offer.
