Historic Significance

Banyan Park is a 7.4-acre community park located in southern Newbury Park, California, at the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains. Established in 1964, it holds the distinction of being the first property acquisition of the newly formed Conejo Recreation & Park District.

The park was subsequently developed in 1967, making it one of the district's oldest park facilities.

Features and Improvements

The park features gently sloping turf areas for recreational activities. In 2017, the northern section of Banyan Park underwent development, enhancing its features and accessibility.

This expansion added several new amenities to complement the existing facilities.
