About Dewey Park
A Piece of Pioneer History
Found in the corner of 15th Street and Hill Road, Dewey Park might be small, but it houses something quite special - one of only two obelisk monuments in Boise marking the historic Oregon Trail's Goodale's Cutoff route. It's quite remarkable to stand in this little urban green space and literally touch a piece of pioneer history.
Neighborhood Oasis
This pocket park offers a mini retreat for locals, with a nice balance of sun-drenched spots and shady nooks. Perfect for those moments when you need a quick nature break without venturing far from home.
ADBoise's Best Brunch Experience
More than just brunch—this is your insider pass to Boise’s vibrant food, art, and culture scene. During this brunch & arts experience, you’ll savor inventive bites from Boise’s best breakfast spots, explore bold street art and historic architecture, and uncover hidden gems only locals know.
Built By Neighbors, For Neighbors
Dewey Park was created through a Neighborhood Reinvestment Grant and the dedication of the North End Neighborhood Association (NENA), who pitched in financially to establish this green space. It's a good example of local community involvement in developing neighborhood spaces.
Small But Mighty
Don't let its size fool you - this compact park packs in some thoughtful amenities. You can find drinking fountains (including dog-friendly ones for your four-legged friends) and several benches where you can sit back and enjoy a moment of calm.
It's a fantastic spot to catch your breath, read a book, or chat with neighbors. And if you're in the mood for more extensive recreation, Camel's Back Park is just a quarter mile stroll away.
